The Golden age of Egyptian Audio Drama

The project was inspired by the archive of work by Youssef Ezeddin Eassa who wrote some 400 pieces of radio drama and was very much the father of radio drama in Egypt. A key aim of our project was to digitise the archive which his daughter had built up of his recordings and scripts.

The material held here was created as part of a project to digitise and interpret the radio work of the Egyptian dramatist and academic Youssef Ezeddin Eassa.
